NOVAC is seeking an experienced filmmaker and youth educator to lead a 4-week Music Video Production Summer Camp for rising 8th–10th graders this June. This camp is designed to engage 10–15 youth in a hands-on, department-based production model to create a professional-quality music video. 

Camp Schedule 

Camp Dates: June 1-26, 

Camp Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm (at NOVAC’s New Orleans office). The instructor is expected to be onsite 9:00am-3:00pm to setup the space before class and clean up and wait for students to get picked up after class ends. 

Instructor Time Commitment

May 2026 - 30 hours includes:

• Onboarding and orientation
• Pre-Camp planning
• Production coordination 

June 2026 - ~160 hours includes:

• 30 hrs/week onsite instruction (9am-3pm, June 1-26)
• 7-8 hrs/week for lesson prep and admin responsibilities
• 1 hr/week check-in with Director of Education
• 10 hours for completing closeout tasks, media organization and handoff of all source footage
